Parents gave my brother my granny's side of the house despite me living there all my life and him spending the last 7 years drinking and fucking around in town. Then when he moves in right downstairs he takes down the holy picture and dismantles the altar, two things our granny cherished in her life. He tried using the altar as a bookshelf, and I shit you not, put a fucking quaran in it. I don't know where the fuck he even got a quaran let alone why he would desecrate a holy altar with its filth.

Then he redecorated the whole house, only problem is he's an atrocious decorator. He repainted everything, despite the entire house being painted not 5 months ago by our aunt, and only put on one coat leaving splotches and marks everywhere because he was too lazy to do the edges right. He also got rid of all the lightshades for no reason and refuses to buy more because he doesn't want to pay for them. That might not sound like an issue but if you've ever glanced anywhere other than the floor in a room with a bare lightbulb you'd know, that shit stings your eyes.

Then him and his fiance (who's also living here) bought a purebred corgi (the fucking queen's dog) without consulting anyone else or even telling us until they brought it home. They also bring people over from time to time, again without telling anyone, and I have to listen to them drunkenly talking for hours on end until they finally collapse. But I think the worst thing is their music. Fucking hell I hate their music. Not just their taste (which is fucking atrocious) but how often they play it. Every fucking minute of the day there's the same dozen songs on repeat, waking me up, bothering me during the day and when I'm trying to sleep. They keep it on even when they're not in the house. They're completely incapable of appreciating the quiet.

I now fully sympathise with the brother of the prodigal son. Fuck I hate this.

I highly doubt that it's primarily a thing caused by (human) genetics. I was just reading a thing about how wildlife photographers are catching seals engaging in beast-on-beast bestiality with unwilling penguins, and they're theorising it's a learned behaviour which the seals are spreading socially between each other.
The "beard"/fag hag theory is also undermined by the necessity of there being a pre-existing injunction against homosexuality enforced strongly enough to overcome the effects of the genetic traits producing homosexual inclinations (why?), and by the fact that it can be overcome at all in the first place by social conditioning.
As a behaviour, it can theoretically be eradicated whether the genetics are there or not, so talking about "let gay non-reproduction sort it out" is missing that point as well as the possibility that it might not actually be a human genetic trait, but something entirely socialised or caused for Darwinian reasons by other species which benefit from the transmission of bodily fluids, in which case letting the activity continue is what is perpetuating the propensity that is used as the justification for letting it continue in the first place!

Which was actually an indirect result of being depressed. An opportunity came up at work to spend a year working in France in a role very similar to what I was already doing. I was so badly stuck in a rut back home that I thought maybe spending some time abroad on my own would help jump-start my life. Unfortunately, despite being here since Summer 2016, I continued to live my life here almost exactly the same as I did back home. That said, I do want to stay here because being abroad has removed me from some of the stresses back home, so I hope my contract is extended. But as I've mentioned before, my boss back home seems eager to get me back to Ireland for some reason.

I've only gone to /b/ about four times. First time was just porn when I came here first, it was shit, another time I saw an Ireland thread which I don't remember much of so it was probably shit, a baneposting thread after the sticky for 4U 9525 went down on /tv/ and a few weeks ago when I heard about the kid who was killed by the kraut, those times were shit too.

Accidentally closed the fucked up door t broke when mam tried to open it. So I had take the hinges off which made a lot of noise and annoyed dad. So he shouted up the stairs not to touch it again until morning so he can fix it, which he never will since he never does anything, so I slot the hinges back in easily and leave it half broken again until I can do it properly again tomorrow. Hopefully he either won't notice that the door is up by the time he goes to bed or he'll be too tired to care. Something tells me he'll still be angry about it tomorrow no matter what anyway.
