Is basketball popular in your country, /int/ ?

Not much but I play and know a lot of people who play it. I've been following our national league and I appreciate their effort to make the sport more popular. I also go to the arena when I can.

Basically people who went to the USA when the sport was in it's infancy (think 1920s-30s) returned home and started pushing it, also our national team had some early successes as a result of that. The fact that we're shit at football also helps.
