I translate it into the past conditional perfect progressive because もっと忠実度にこだわった方 is talking about a hypothetical situation that did not actually arise, and 良かった is stating that if this situation had arisen it would have been good. Translation is not an exact science, I just kind of do it in my head without really thinking about it.

I've been using japanesepod101 audio. They play a dialogue, then the hosts talk about the dialog in a mix of Japanese and English (more Japanese depending on the level), and they go over key words and grammar points. I think they're great, personally. They have transcripts too to increase in comprehension. I also use NHK news, but you would need to keep up with the daily current events in Japan and abroad to get anything out of that.

I can't comment on the beginner videos, but lower intermediate is over half most of the time. The first ten or so were pretty scant in Japanese, but they shift into more and more. Advanced is 100% Japanese.

So you say 我がインターネット友達 but 我(われ)は「我」を使うことにしました.

我 is pretty stuffy, IIRC. It's a kind of relic of archaic Japanese speech. Unless, this Japanese person recommended 我, then disregard what I'm saying. 僕 is probably best. Maybe 俺, but I know less about that one. You need a nominalizer if you are going to make a sentence a topic, remember that. And 決める marked with that を alone isn't going to work. You may be able to nominalize it, like のを, but I think volitional + と決める works better here.

How do you read these? I guess it's the same; unless there is context, you go with your guts and misunderstandings happen.

Generally, though, there will be some usage patterns and some readings that are literary and not commonplace. The latter will usually have furigana accompanying.

1. なら is a conditional based on the speaker's own supposition, and the speaker doesn't need to "suppose" his own thinking.

2. The inverse wouldn't make sense anyway. "If I think it's fine, then (you) do it."

This is just my opinion, but I'd say that until you can get a difficulty order to the cards, to not use that deck. The books kind of "feed off" each other so to speak, and to instill the very basic concepts of grammar into your head is of utmost importance right now with the time you have available to study. e.g. Learning about ので, which is a fundamental construction, while trying to pick the meaning of にせよ, at your level, is very unnecessary, and the retention rate is going to be non-existent since you are probably absorbing little native content right now. Plus, the complexity of the example sentences progress with each book.

Also, just in general, using Anki as a platform for grammar study is fine, but in my opinion Anki is most optimal for vocabulary, through realistic sentences, mined words, etc. Grammar concepts seem daunting at first, but the sheer amount of them you will be encountering pales in comparison to attaining more and more vocabulary. Therefore, most of that core, beginner's grammar is going to get fully internalized as you read, and even as you do vocab flash cards. So I guess what I'm trying to say is, I recommend not spend too much time constantly re-reading a DoJG entry as it appears in a flash card, and more time seeing it applied.

In the card browser when you click on the Dictionary of Japanese Grammar Revised deck, is the due 1 card は~だ, due 2 が (1), due 3 ね, and so on? If this is the deck you have then the order for the cards is roughly based on the order of grammar in Tae Kim's Grammar Guide, at least for the Basic book. The Intermediate and Advance book cards are in alphabetical order.
Down the bottom left of the Anki deck browser, where the tags are, do you have pic related? Clicking on the DoBJG tag will show only the voume Basic cards. To only study those Basic book cards, click on the DoAJG card, click on a card in the browser and Ctrl+A, Suspend. Do the same for the DoIJG tag. The deck will now have everything but the Basic cards suspended.
There should also be two different card types: a normal recognition with everything on it and a Cloze deletion with type with the grammar item deleted from a randomly selected each review example sentence. Also suspending one of these card types and focusing on either recalling grammar points you are already familiar with or a more straight forward revision is something that anons recommend.

I think the usage of する that you're thinking of is the ・・・を・・・に/とする structure, which means to turn one thing into another or to assign something to a particular role or function. I think the most important distinction is that you're not really creating anything in this case, just transforming one thing into something else.

Found it while randomly smashing in stuff on Google. Had a look at the forum section and there are posts from 2012, so it's been around in some form for a while. The forum looks dead but it is kind of more like Jisho in that it hooks into Edict, etc. with the word and kanji dictionary part of the site. The layout is nice for mobile. The site also has a lessons page with a list of textbooks and entries for all the different kanji and words they use. It could be useful for any of those anons using any of those textbooks. I think someone the other day said they were using Genki or some shit.

It's been very effective so far, and doing reading while learning the grammar certainly does help solidify the many rules, irregulars and particle meanings in your head.

Does anyone know how to skip the first 2,000 cards in the core6k deck? I'll run through all of these real quick if I have to, but I'd rather jump into the last 4,000.

Anytime you open or close the desktop it syncs, on android you have to sync manually for it to sync. Unless there's a feature I've never noticed, there's no way to make ankidroid sync automatically.

On my android it syncs as soon as I open the app. Even if for some reason it doesn't happen automatically it's just as simple as pressing a button

Mines never synced without me pressing the sync button, it's not a huge deal either way just kinda annoying sometimes.

Today I learned 寺 時 火 水 木 金 土

So 火山 means volcano. Fire Mountain... makes sense. Kanji doesn't seem so bad right now.
