I have a Portuguese friend who refered to herself as "1/8 Spanish" and I knew a Japanese guy who was an extreme case of muh heritage because he had a German grandfather or something, so it's definitely not unique to here.

I have the same problem, my friends just care about video games and weed but I'm stuck in the Chicago area for now, where there's nothing outdoorsy. I'm getting my first real mountain experience in eons this summer since I'm spending a few days in Andorra.

I might be transfering to ISU or Bradley but the lack of culture + lack of outdoors would probably kill me. Right now I'm deciding between NIU, Loyola, DePaul, and some others.
