Your pic, torontonians keep on spreading out like they are now, deforestation and more melting up north.
>>
Hmm realistic worse case scenario, our housing bubble would bust, steep economic decline, America fucks us over even more with America first policy, Quebec chimps out and secedes, minority districts in cities like Toronto become full on ghettos, we get more muslim mayors, big chunks of territory in the west are sold to china to attempt salvaging our failing economy.
>>
With massive budget deficits piling up, over decades of reckless spending and giving nothing more than lip service to "innovation", coupled with lacking effort by have-not provinces like Quebec, and environmental challenges towards our resource industries concurrent with global pivots to new energy sources, leads to nominal growth in wages. Aboriginals are now self-governing and have full fee simple title to their land, and they hold energy companies hostage if they try to develop a resource project on some supposed ancient cultural area.

Meanwhile, home prices have climbed to astronomical levels, given that the government is too afraid to impose foreign buyers taxes after some chinese billionaire accused canadians of being "racist" and imposing "a new kind of head tax". Overall, the cost of living increases as more and more of our imports come from faster-growing economies as our successful businesses get snatched up by American companies.

The result being that most Canadians now live paycheque-to-paycheque without much prospect for the future, or if they're bright and successful, they move to better economies like USA. We're also facing a water shortage, now that the US claims that NAFTA v2 gives them unlimited right to send water pipelines from our lakes and rivers down into southern USA so everyone can have a nice big green lawn.

And what's our solution to all of this? Clearly we need immigration from skilled workers all around the world. Our multicultural model fails to integrate people into Canadian life, now that any concept of a culture for us has been completely deconstructed, and people live in enclaves, unable to interact because they don't even speak the same language.

Leisure consists of going online and escaping the world, although most people can only afford low-tier VR at that point.

Isn't your bubble propped up by Chinese buying all your houses like ours is? It might not be a bad thing to pop it
>>
I reckon it'll be sitting right along the 49th parallel, just north of the United States.

I imagine this:

Chinese and Muslims will have a civil war.

Meanwhile Europeans will wait in the basement or escape to Europe to join "The war for the homeland" to stop Muslim aggression in Europe.
>>
>>72724793
but instead, white people will keep having less and less kids, while non-whites keep having more and more, and the world will become brown
>>
>>72724997
Lol birthrates decrease the more developed a country is. And second generation to third generation immigrants will have less children as well.

Plausible worst-case scenario is full-blown
Californication with Neoliberalism running amok and extreme crony capitalism and increasing wealth disparity.

To be honest though, it's far more likely that we see a shift towards basic income and wealth redistribution, and the Conservative party become the new neoliberals while the liberal party adjusts left to become more socialist while the NDP either evaporates or becomes full-blown communist. This isn't that bad because like now, they will never ever form a government.

>20 years
Canada is multi-cuck-fucked and bankrupt

Chang owns half of Toronto and 3/4 of Vancouver

Massive unemployment and record-high drug related deaths

Liberals spend $200 million on new visa offices in Bangladesh

Quebec secedes and whites flee there en masse
>>
Absolute worst case scenario is that we morph into a carbon copy of the United States, or become a Chinese colony.

More realistic projection from current trends: dropping down a couple of spots in economic ranking from failure to keep up with innovation, as our best and brightest are snatched up by other countries. Trump presidency presents challenges and opportunities.

We're actually brain draining American talent right now.

Pro-science americans are fleeing trump.

STEM educated people in fields like clean energy are getting funding cut and are looking elsewhere for it.

Well, I will admit that we do get in a net influx of talent from other countries and that this is one of the opportunities presented by a Trump presidency.

However...

We aren't innovating as much as we could, given our highly-educated population. There's not enough incentive for researchers and academics to set up shop here, especially considering how much we spend on research in the first place. Any tech lead that we had in the late 90's/early 00's has since evaporated, with some of our more notable tech firms (Nortel, ATI) being either closed or acquired by larger companies south of the border. Blackberry meanwhile, has become a completely irrelevant joke.

Ontario is plagued by infrastructure decay: electricity is ridiculously expensive, road and rail haven't been overhauled in the past two decades or so, and internet is just plain terrible. Alberta is recovering from an oil patch downturn. Quebec is crippled by corruption.

Approaching this matter from an entirely serious perspective, I foresee Canada dropping out from the world's top 10 economies over the next decade. Make no mistake about it: standard of living will probably remain quite high, at least in urban areas. But the fact remains is that we're falling behind, and no party presently seems to be addressing this problem adequately.

I see this being a more sobering, realistic, and depressing reality than any other post here.

Yes. Vancouver has already created a foreign buyers tax and Toronto is thinking about it.
