Korean is useless, at least Japanese will get you laid in Korea.
Otherwise both are similar since Korean is a dialect of Japanese.

You don't have to learn 2000+ kanji in Korean

just further proof you know nothing of these languages.

Japanese characters are harder to learn when factoring in kanji, whereas Korean's hangul system was specifically designed to be easy to pick up.
On the other hand, Japanese grammar is far simpler, and has very few exceptions, whereas Korean has some hair-pulling rules, and plenty of exceptions that you need to learn.

Japanese
Many kind teachers, animation, elegant culture, your interests
If you are weeb, Japanese will be easier for you to learn.
If you are k-poop eating scum, Korean will be easier to learn.

>access to resources
This is another important factor. Japan has a lot of material available for learners to use to immerse themselves in. Books, music, movies, cartoons, comics, games, social clubs, online communities, etc.
Korea has similar resources, but Japan dwarfs them in sheer output of material, and it is generally more easily accessable to those outside the country.
Korean is easier, but it also highly depends on which culture you are more interested in thq.

How did you decide to learn both?

I'm gookmerican who frequently visits Japanese imageboard, why do you think
>>72620627
Both are useless, but I guess that korean is easier
At least their alphabet makes sense
>>72620627
I'd say Korean, because of the writing system. Grammar wise they should be about the same.
You might struggle with some of the sounds though. Native English speakers have a tendency to butcher Asian accents.
