And as a German, I know quiet a bit about anarchy and how can it lead to facism. I would much prefere if Russia didn't went down that road.
And I know that you might not like it, but EU would much rather deal with "evil" yet predictable Putin, rather with an anarchist Russia where everything could happen

that stupid mindset just turns russia into a shithole it' is now for centuries. 'no putin' doesn't obligatory mean 'anarchy' or 'civil war', it just means no more corrupt dickheads ruling the country, just true democracy like in your countries. I hope russians evolved enough to have a decent state.
>>
>>72616861
oh, shut the fuck up, Hans. germans have fucking zero knowledge, of whats going on in Russia, but they sure love wasting the fucking time, taking about it. I especially adore, those fucking nazis, i had a talk with a group, and they were fucking praising Putin, for having a secular country ONLY for russians. wtf. If you count caucasians and middle asia people as russians, then ill become a nazi, anyday.
>>

>You could suffer much worse than you do now
We are going to suffer more in the future anyway. The only difference is if it will happen in 10-15 years and now.
>how can it lead to facism.
Weimar Republic was in anarchy or what? The rise of redical right in 20-30s was the reaction to democracy and communism; but now we have the regime which is pretty similar to facism.
> but EU would much rather deal with "evil" yet predictable Putin, rather with an anarchist Russia where everything could happen
Well I also consider EU (as a political organization) as the enemy of Russia (but not p*tin regime).

>'no putin' doesn't obligatory mean 'anarchy' or 'civil war'
not obligatory, but pretty likely.
There is simply no strong civil movement in Russia that could take over. And another problem is that there are many separatists regions in Russia, and should the central government show weakness, those regions will try to become independant, like what happend with baltics our your country in the 90s.

>Weimar Republic was in anarchy or what?
Weimar Republic was inheritly unstable, because neither people nor the elites cared about democracy. The Republic was put to a test during the economic crisis and failed, giving raise to Hitler.

EU imposes sanctions which hurt Russian economy and as a result ususal people, not oligarchs and p*tin's frends, suffer from it. They (i.e. oligarchs and p*tin's frends) , they have numerious bank accounts in Europe full of money stolen from the people of Russia but non of them is blocked, they have a lot of estates in Europe bought with this stolen money, but again non of them is confiscated (muh property rights) so basically EU is intrested in cooperation with p*tin regime since all the stolen money is kept in Europe.

Yes, they are supposed to hurt companies owned by his friends, but since they are basically locomotives of Russian economy, sancions, as I said, hurt Russian economy and therefore hurt the people of Russia, but not those oligarchs since they always can compensate their losses.
>It is not our fault that Russia decided to sanction European imports in return

We actually can take a look at The French Revolution; in long run it led to positive results. Or the bolshevik one (though I'm sure you will totally disagree) - dispite totalitalism of Stalin period, Russia would have been worse off if it hadnt happned.
>>

they just expect this country to magically become fucking Switzerland or something.
Yes it's shit, it sucks, it's corrupt, but what you should be looking at is that it has been getting better, progress has been done. it's not even about putin, it's about comparing how it was 10 or 5 years ago to now and see if it's better. All those complains are just undeserved.
>>
>>72618919
>same shit actually
i agree with Hans on this point. Saddam went genocide mode, but he actually wanted to have something similar to a functioning government. I mean, he allowed women to have an education and not wearing hijabs, so at the very least, he wasnt a crazy islamist.

it also could be much better. why do you think only putin is the one who is able to hold situation in Russia in order? the goverment that would spend all that resources-trade money to the development of russian infrastracture and economy, not to his frind's mantions and yachts, the goverment that would make society in russia become more equal and therefore stable, the goverment that make corruption in russia to be a crime but not the way of state functioning, that goverment would be far more able to take Russia in order.
>>
>>72619221
I think the problem is that many people think Putin choses to be a dictator because he is evil.
They dont seem to realize that Putin didn't choose the hand he was given, he cant change the fact that Russia is an oligarchy overnight, and he has to come to an arrangement with the current elites in Russia to be able to rule.

I can only hope that we will lift our sanctions on Russia soon, and that our relations can improve. Germany would profit from Russias resources and cheap labour, and you would profit from German investment.
And of course, both sides would benefit from mutual trust and improved national security

Putin's 'wealth and stability' just ended up with low oil prices - that's a cost for being oligarchy and brainless dictatorship. russia of 90's was far more unstable and poor but it was realy democratic those days, it would be cool if those way of goverment remained during the good times for Russian economy when oil became expensive.
you are exaggerating the power of oligarchs, their power for nowadays is that's the only a few related clans of them, if there were any competition between them, like in any other country with 'healthy' goverments, it would be much better for us. putin is the one who holds oligarchs together, being their puppet and their king at the same time.

>russia of 90's was far more unstable and poor but it was realy democratic those days
Are you kidding? Most of modern oligarchs got their wealth and influence in those days.
The 90s was a time in Russia when gangsters stole the whole wealth of a nation and divied it among themselves. Thats how well "democracy" worked out for Russia
>>
>>72621376

at fisrt you said that in the 90s Russia was truly democratic but now saying otherwise
>>
>>72621376
aren't you right there proving that it wasn't "democracy" and just plain autism?
>>
>>72621208
Sure there's more to it, but I see it so the only realistic possibility of competition in politics. There's really no alternative. Commies alone are getting weaker and weaker since 1996, and all liberals together can't gather enough people together to fit a gas chamber.

And anyway even a child can see Russia has enough problems without adding too much "democracy" into it, we need a strong and stable government.

Two parties with minor differences and shifting base like in the US, but with weaker parliament is best.
>>
>>72621376
Russia's democracy broke down for the same reason that Germany's democracy broke down when Hitler took power.

The US continued to dump on them after they were beaten like the rest of Europe dumped on Germany after WW1 and it provoked them towards putting an ultra nationalist dictator in charge.

Democracy can work in Russia. It's our fault it didn't.
>>
>>72621243
They don't think so
Why, I thought you don't care about them
>>
>>72621376
> true elections
> true parliament with real debates and polling
> real economy and mass media competition (conjugated with bloody crime and violence though)
> not a democracy
oligarchs got their capitals and started so called 'free market', criminal and playing by the wild west rules, but anyway - it's was the better option than we have today: putin just legitimated the oligarchs, made them the part of the state and the goverment, desroyed any competiton between them and just made them the main power of Russia, the truly dictatorship. free mass media have gone (only some internet resources which often are blocked and not commom among the elders generation at all), free big buiseness is dead, people are brainwashed and became kinda homo soveticus again.

Had it not been Putin, it just would have been somebody else exactly like Putin doing the same thing. Outside forces are creating conditions to cause Russian Democracy to ultimately fail.

The crucial inescapable obstacle to Russian Democracy is that the West was always pushing for it to fail to keep Russia as a boogieman.

The breakdown of US/EU relations and NATO is the best possible thing that could happen to Russia, as it could actually make it so Democracy is feasible.
>>
>>72623028

It's ironic how the public opinion likes Putin in Russia.

After the fall of the USSR, the US gave the cold shoulder to Russia and outwardly treated them differently than it did the other former Soviet countries despite the fact that they were also trying to adopt western ideals.

The whole reason Gorbachev was willing to slowly dismantle the Soviet Union when he did was because Reagan had basically promised to bring Russia in the fold and help build them up to first world status if he agreed to not stop the lesser Soviet partners from freely choosing to become independent.

Years later when the USSR was completely dismantled, Bill Clinton didn't uphold Reagan's agreements, and continued to isolate and belittle Russia inevitably pushing them away from western ideals.

We basically betrayed them in the self-interest of keeping them as a boogieman.

It may have just been a US politics thing and not necessarily a plan all along to stay hostile with them.

Republican presidents like Reagan, Bush, and now Trump have always had relatively softer and friendlier relations with Russia than the Democratic presidents have. It's possible the Democrats were just cunts.

The Soviet Union was always inevitably going to collapse because communism is retarded, but Gorbachev could have kept the charade going on a bit longer if he had really wanted too. The USSR could have still sent troops to occupy regions that were trying to split off near the end of its life, but didn't because it wanted a favorable bargain with the west.
