But why did you admire Americans? And why did you stop doing it?

I've heard from a few Europeans before that a couple decades ago most Europeans had a fantasized image of America from their exposure to our movies and media, but really after the internet got big, they learned that we weren't as great as they thought, and that's why many of you are so smug towards us.
