Commieblocks are a very popular form of dwelling in Greenland. Every major settlement has at least one.

Greenlanders are very friendly people, but a lot of them come from broken homes. Alcoholism and suicide are big problems among Greenlanders, even those abroad here and in Denmark. I also think Greenland is better off with Denmark. Independence would be catastrophic for them.

Nuuk isn't the only big city in Greenland.

Pic is Kangerlussuaq, a town with about 500 residents. It's a very characteristic main town street in Greenland.

I read somewhere that the Greenlandic government and media only use western Greenlandic and that people in the east feel excluded because the dialects are so different.
