Did you sign a contract for your current employer? If you did there might be a period of notice clause where you agreed to notify them for a period of time before quitting. Mine was 4 weeks and they had no interest in letting me go sooner even though I wanted to go on the day I handed it in, I had to put it in writing as well.
I'm not sure if there would be any problems if I just left but they definitely wouldn't give me a reference in the future if I did.

I'm not touching it for now. Hopefully the technical kinks can be largely worked out with time (although those facial animations look unsalvageable). But one of my friends played the demo thing for Andromeda and said it feels like a B-team spin-off of the original trilogy. All the key elements re there, but the execution is lacking.

Seriously, how do you fuck up an Asari that badly? They are literally the "sexy blue space girls" of the Mass Effect universe. The cynical side of me wants to believe that her "homely" design was intentional.

To be honest, I was never particularly hyped for Andromeda to begin with. ME3 left a bad taste in my mouth and the trailers for Andromeda were shite compared to those of the original trilogy.

I think it was. You can tell from the shape of the face (short and wide jaw) and the flabbiness. Too accurate for diversity hires. Probably looks like the VA, or worse, the writer.
Also, great trailer. It really captures everything I loved about ME2 (except the galaxy map, which really needs to be experienced).
Casting Martin Sheen as the Illusive Man was a great choice. I dislike what they did to his character in 3 though. More vidya should cast more uniquely-voiced actors like that.

I loved her accent, but I always gave her the black suit in combat.

>It's a pretty galling "lol who cares tho"
As bad as that was, I was more pissed about the abandoning of the Dark Energy reason for why the Reapers were invading. It was being subtly built up in ME2, and then they threw it all away for a cliché "Robuts will kill organics" plot.

Good point. The genetically engineered race of genetic parasites IS stronger than the degenerate race who cannot breathe anything but the air of the planet they lost to their own domestic devices.
The fact that anyone can equate masturbation with these artificial abominations, who steal precious human DNA, with human reproduction, is an abomination!

what
>>
>>72549879
Meant for: >>72549650

>>72549890
The Protheans guided Asari evolution and the Asari reproduction basically takes genetic material from the sexual partner but the offspring is always an Asari.
>>
>>72549473
What's so bad about that?
>>
>>72549942
How did the Asari reproduce before they met other races, and why did the Protheans decide to make them look like blue human women with retard tentacle heads?
>>
>>72549890
The Asari were genetically modified by the Protheans as a "fuck you" to the Reapers, an attempt to make a genetically adaptive race that can fit in with other races. A race of "super-diplomats" (putting it nicely), which is what they turned into.

>>72549879
The game basically treats the Asari as as valid a sex partner as humans, even though the Asari don't need sperm (or even a Y chromosome) to make new Asari, and it's therefore questionable whether they have the right pseudo-sexual organs for human anatomy, or any at all.
>>
>>72550054
>How did the Asari reproduce before they met other races
With each other. But following contact with other races, it became socially and culturally frowned upon for reasons I can't remember.

>and why did the Protheans decide to make them look like blue human women with retard tentacle heads?
I can't remember the details, but it's important to note that the Asari were considerably more evolved than the other Citadel races at the end of the Prothean cycle (but still fell below the level of technological advancement required for the Reapers to harvest them). When combined with Prothean influence, this is why the Asari were/are so much more advanced than the other Citadel races.
>>
>>72550205
>But following contact with other races, it became socially and culturally frowned upon for reasons I can't remember.
Prothean programming. They instinctively wanted fresh DNA.
>>
A Post national society.
>>
>>72550185
>an attempt to make a genetically adaptive race that can fit in with other races
Did the Asari natural aptitude for biotics evolve naturally due to their planet's geology or was it because of Prothean interference?

>and it's therefore questionable whether they have the right pseudo-sexual organs for human anatomy, or any at all.
God, I hope they do (at least for men). A hole will do.

>>72550330

>>
>>72550205
>With each other.
That doesn't make sense, they're all women. I bet they just fucked dogs and didn't want to admit it.
>>
>>72550494
>That doesn't make sense, they're all women
Well, it's unknown whether the Protheans actually altered HOW Asari reproduced. I personally doubt they did something that invasive, so I imagine they always reproduced non-biologically. So it doesn't matter if they are all "women".

>the main problem is people getting dole while doing 15 or 20 hours a week too
Is that a problem with dole scammers who try and claim the dole and have a job or employers and the government encouraging employment figures to be reduced by giving out too many 15-20 hour week jobs which aren't supposed to be full-time, or by splitting one job into two, but act as full-time jobs for some people? Nobody wants to tackle the dole scammers and employers and the government are possibly reasonably happy with the people on 15-20 hour "full-time" jobs.

Until tonight, I thought the same. I just can't align with any of the other candidates though. Fillon seems like a decent traditional politician, but he doesn't have a prayer of being elected.

I should clarify that as *FG's fault. It's very difficult to get decent entry level positions in appropriate fields after jobbridge effectively eroded all the internships and a combination of the recession and brexit has everybody reluctant to expand.
And when I say difficult, it's only difficult if you're willing to move to Dublin. Otherwise it's virtually impossible since FG has little interest investing anywhere else and half the places that were here shuttered during the recession.

I'm happy to work a job with decent conditions for my qualifications so long as its within driving distance but I have no intention of leaving home to live alone in a shitty city. I'd rather just be NEET than do that.

No, this is an awful board. I find the history, forced culture and people roleplaying as culture shtick to all be nauseating.
I'd rather /int/ was just a place for off-topic generals on a country basis. Which it kind of is but you still get people wandering in here talking about "celts" and "gaels" or talking about a united Ireland or other shite.

Sometimes, I like that there isn't really much of a defined topic on the board so you can get a lot of threads on just about anything, although you do get a lot of repeat threads like all the goldface threads, even if I like them to an extent. I feel that the gook should probably make /intg/ for all the generals here as a place to talk to people from their own country and for people to learn about specific countries, and then keep /int/ as the board it was intended to be in the first place.

Another problem with /éire/pol is that there just isn't enough happening in Irish politics to have consistently interesting threads on the topic, you get a lot of repetitive stuff in them, and anything that does happen can just go here instead, plus you have the problem where you have lads like Ceann Comhairle who'd rather just shill for the National Party than discuss anything. /brit/pol is just one of the many threads where british culture is instead of /brit/ here.

If it helps, you can imagine them as somewhat like plasticine, a bit like The Thing. That way they would be able to produce more accurate, more responsive features, but since the tentacles on the heads aren't like that, and there's no reason to believe that they are, it's more likely that the Asari genitalia, if they have malleability to suit other species' (as they would have no need for them between Asari), would be made up of a mass of closely-packed branch-like tentacles which can harden and bunch up to form appendages, or spread out, become pliable like seaweed, and fold into the "orifice" which they grow from, responding a bit like memory foam to the penetrative genitalia of any aliens they pretend to breed with.
What, did you think these unrelated aliens would have human genitalia?

Patrician.
She's qt, but Shepard is clearly written as a male, and the "badass action girl" fantasy is creepy and pretty cucky.

>Healthy young child plays femshep, gets pumped with massive shot of autogynephilia, doesn't feel good and changes - CUTS HIS DICK OFF. Many such cases!

>>72554488
It'd probably feel good if they have anything more than a vestigial sex organ or a cloaca-like birthing canal, but you're probably going for the sloppy seconds of a Krogan or Turian corkscrew acid semen dick. They would have to feel good to get people to "reproduce" with them though, since the genetic interests of the other species aren't being served in laying with Asari.

>She's qt, but Shepard is clearly written as a male
Yep. I was always confused by how popular Femshep was. Sure, Mark Meer can be a bit dry in his delivery of Manshep's lines, but they were clearly written with a man in mind. Additionally, Meer is far better with the comedic lines (whether intentional or unintentional). This was most evident in the Citadel DLC where all the jokes when delivered by Femshep just fell flat.

>and the "badass action girl" fantasy is creepy and pretty cucky.
To be honest, I usually like strong female protagonists if they are written well, but Femshep just never clicked for me. Shepard was male in my head from day 1.

>Yep. I was always confused by how popular Femshep was.
Same as it ever was: autistic paraphilia.

I can't separate Meer's voice from Shepard's, similar to David Hayter. I much prefer when games choose voice actors like that rather than just Nolan North, or worse, a knock-off Nolan North.
Steve Blum gets a pass, but if his ubiquity in supporting roles gets any higher, it'd be terrible.

>Same as it ever was: autistic paraphilia.
To be fair, they did pick the best default Femshep design for ME3 though.

>I can't separate Meer's voice from Shepard's
Notice how only his version of "I should go" became meme-worthy and most Shepard memes feature Manshep.

I don't tend to pay too much attention to voice actors, but Mark Meer and Steve Downes are the two I consider completely inseparable from their characters.

I'm not much of a Metal Gear fan. I know most the lore, but I've only actually ever played MGS.

>I know most the lore, but I've only actually ever played MGS.
What did you think of it?
And what did you play it on?
I played the emulated PC version and have to say I think it was more enjoyable than if I was using a PS1 controller.

It's also a bit of a shame you know all the lore, because most of the fun in MGS2 is the wild ride the story takes off the deep end. MGS3 is good as a self-contained story, and MGS4 is good in the sense that you sympathise with Snake towards the end and it wraps up all the loose ends.
Peace Walker is more of a gameplay-focused game, but the story that is there is good when it gets going.
If you have an Xbox all those ought to be available for cheap.

MGS5's story is 70% in terms of concept, 10% in terms of execution, and most of that 10% refers to the gameplay improvements 5 brought.
>>
>>72555717
>What did you think of it?
I played it on a PS1 I got second-hand from my cousin (my first console). I was young at the time and didn't have a lot of video games, so I got an exceptional amount of replay value out of it. Really enjoyed the gameplay, but the story didn't really interest me at the time. But in the hype build-up to MGSV, I got interested in the lore of the series. I've watched playthroughs of all the games except MGS4.

also just learning about eire general i guess, are there may weebs in here? If a few of you dont use /int/ are you guys on any other boards? Is this general up 24/7 etcetc
>>
>>72555833
MGS4 works well as a conclusion to the other games. The amount of small plot threads they integrate under the banner of "nanomachines, son" is genuinely impressive, and the dystopia a subtly AI-controlled causes does come across to the player.
Ironically a lot of MGS4's ending gets better because of the facts that are retroactively established in 5, though it does make it bittersweet in some respects and it is a bit jarring with what they say in 4, though it can make sense.

I need something comfy to listen to while falling asleep like a podcast or lecture. Nothing too stimulating but not trash either.

/v/ and /int/ are my mains, sometimes go over to /tv/ and /pol/. /m/ is good too.

Depends. We usually have a sleep deprived anon or two to bump the thread every hour or so during the night but not always.

I try to avoid posting too much anime here since there's a few posters that go into a fit over its mere presence. They've loosened up considerably on the issue but I don't want to risk going back to the days of threads getting derailed to shit over a drawing.

I use here a bit, mostly this thread but sometimes on the rest of the board too. I also use /vp/, /v/, /sp/ and /n/ as my other main boards, sometimes I go to /co/, /his/, /sci/ and /qa/ too.

Most people are fine with anime here, even if they're not really into it, rarely you get a falseflagger or an unironic newfag here who will try and derail the thread by complaining about anime images, don't be that guy.
>thats kinda cool im never involved in generals that are always up!
It's isn't really active at night that much, and sometimes somebody just makes a new thread in the morning if this one dies, it's a bit more active on weekends though.

Sometimes, a lot of things get discussed here, as /int/ doesn't really have a solid topic, and the janny doesn't really give a fuck or is dead, in this thread there were people discussing Mass Effect and Metal Gear Solid.
