His buildings are famously known for leaks. It's quite hard to build something curvy and all and keeping the water out.
Somehow developers still work with him. God knows why.

this beautiful railway terminal (Windsor station) was decommissioned to make space for a hideous stadium, sort of a similar fate of Penn Station and the Madison Square Gardens, although this station is at least still standing as a piece of historical architecture

Montreal has a lot of eye sores mixed in with beautiful heritage architecture, our architects were given too much freedom in the 60s

I don't live in Ulm, but I traveled there recently and nearly started puking when I saw it.

After the war, they actually had the decency to build a few houses that – while not gorgeous – at least try to resemble the historical building style (see the house row in the top center). This way, that square at least tried to approximate being worthy of standing right in front of the world's tallest churchtower.

What do these shitheads fucking do in the 90s? They build that fucking highschool art project thing right in the middle of the square, completely blocking the view to anything else. Right in front of the world's tallest churchtower. That alone tells a lot about the pretentiousness of modern arts imho…
