Are middle easterners genuinely nice? They seem so hospitable

Generally, the turks for example I talk to in my city is much more friendly than the norwegians who seem to hate me for some reason. Kind of feel I should stick to my own people however, and that they are not really accepting me. I honestly have conflicting feelings about this.
