I love diversity, and that is why we cannot have a single porous global state. We must protect all the worlds divergent people's and cultures by insulating them from infinite flows of people's and ideas. Open borders is a terrible mistake that would only result the decay of culture to a lowest common denominator form of consumerism.

Not to mention, it would only heighten ethnic conflicts and increase fractures in communities at a tremendous levels. There would be civil wars everywhere and economic collapse if the doors were opened overnight.
