I try to be very objective in my analysis. There are some parts of Britain that are better than the US (holiday allowances being a major one). However, I prefer the states by a wide margin.

I live in a village of 100 people and it is divided between some quite wealthy people and poorer people. The town some miles north has about 6000 people and is quite poor and it where I went to school (some of the lowest results in the UK). Then if you go west nearer to the city people are wealthier etc and they tend to be people who drive into the city and work professional jobs but still live in the ruralities. Rural areas have a lot of differentiation between them.

Yes, they do. There are huge variances in rural towns. British people tend to have an idealized view of country life, but much of the country is poor and blighted. There are many nice wealthier areas though.
