I've noticed Americans use a lot of slang and non-eloquent language, even as non-teens. Adult men regularly say that things "suck", that his friends are his "bros", or "fuck" in every other sentence. The vocabulary is smaller.
Swedish is used much more eloquently, even in informal contexts such as on the internet. There just seems to be a cultural difference.
How does your native language compare? Are Americans relatively unique in this?
