Portuguese sounds like a drunk Frenchman trying to speak Spanish after being hit in the head with a wooden plank

What they don't tell you is that Portuguese is actually Russian which is written in a latin script and spoken without being cut with vodka.
Why do portuguese speakers understand Spanish, but Spanish speakers do not understand portuguese?

The spoken Portuguese may be more difficult to understand, but the writing is close to Spanish, French and Italian.

Pelado means the same that in Portuguese. it means bald in beaner.
I often mistake it for a slavic language until I find otherwise
>>72389018
Similar intonations. Even I can mistake it for Russian from a long distance.

Why do only brown people insult portugal on /int/?
>>72387327
It doesn't, it's just that its changes tend to stick out compared to what happened in other languages. If you analyze the Portuguese language closely you get a lot of similarities with French (especially the nasal sounds which are inherited from the Celtic substrata) and Sardinian (like -o becoming -u in the end of a word).
Also Southern Portuguese people are lazy faggots who don't bother with articulation at all.
>>72390709
that's not an insult. what are you? racist?????
>>72387327
It sounds like medieval Spanish.
