It was pretty stupid of us to allow Istra to slip away in 1945. A local historian said that the Croats were allowed to claim historical borders in Kajkavian-speaking locales and ethnic borders in Chakavian ones. But Slovenes are known for their love of national betrayal, which is why we are not nationalist today.

every Slovene who moves to Croatia or lived there when the area became Croatian was proclaimed to be 110% Croat anyway. After all, there is no Croatian language nor is there a Croatian ethnicity, Croatia is just a state and Croatian a nationality, much like US American. If Germany came under Croatian rule, then German would surely be pronounced the wasavian dialect of Croatian.
