To people who mastered English as a second language I have a question.
How do you speak in English spontaneously while making the right facial expression, gestures, and eye contacts?
I can use odd idioms, speak naturally, and write flawless academic papers, but I have hard time "looking" natural.
How do I overcome this?
See american movies I guess

... what?
If you speak the language naturaly, means that's it.

Wait we're supposed to do stuff like that?
I cannot look someone in the eyes when talking with them. It actually hurts.

my brain is working so hard to make the right sentences that I cannot make an effort to come up with the right gestures at the same time.
Of course, after a moment I realize I should have made a certain type of gesture at a specific moment, but only after I goofed myself.

Try looking near their eyes. Focus on their nose between their eyes, or their eyebrows, or something like that. I have a lot of trouble directly meeting someone's gaze too, but I work around it.

>started warking with americans and japanese
>nobody looks you in the eyes
>when I do they freak out, an american would sometimes ask me if there's something on his face, because I'm "staring" at him
>stopped doing it so people wouldn't freak out
>now israelis freak out because I avert my gaze by a reflex when talking to them
I don't usually gesture unless I'm pointing at something. "The box of papers is over there." Perhaps when I'm nervous I rub my hands together or put them in my pockets. You want to try to make eye contact when you speak to someone or they'll think something is wrong or you're lying. Facial expressions are independent of language. Do whatever feels natural.
think in english
shouldnt be too hard

If you're "brain is working so hard" that means you don't speak naturally.
With time and practice it'll get easier.
