Little Finland was able to fight the mighty Soviet Union to a stalemate by itself, ensuring its sovereignty.
And later, during the cold war, Finland managed to remain neutral between the two blocks, traiding with both and benefitting greatly.
Even today, Finns are smart enough to remain neutral and not to join the NATO
