Cradles of Civilization
>>
>none of them in Europe
Truly cajoles the cognition organ
>>
>They're all shitholes now
What went so wrong?
>>
>>72183230
Maybe it's dialectical.
>>
>>72183230

Rise and fall, etc.
>>
>Pakistan
>a cradle of civilization
>>
>>72183230
Ozymandias, son.

Don't forget, we used to be pretty great back in the day.

It'll happen to America as well.
>>
>>72183230
The same way Europe and North America will be shitholes in some centuries
>>
>>72183324
Were you educated in the South or something?
>>
>>72183490
>some centuries
The whole world is falling apart because of the temp rises.
>>
>Mesoamerican and Andean regions
Ehhh...
They have started to be a bit relevant when the Roman Empire was already ended, european and asian civilizations were way more advanced
>>
>>72184066

They became civilizations completely independently, just like Mesopotamia or Egypt, which is why they were cradles.

They did it much later ofc.

>>72184066
That is not how you measure a cradle of civilization. The reason why they are there is because they developed independently.

>agriculture
>domestication
>writing systems
>architecture
>etc.

All without help or influence from other places.
>>
>>72183158

Today only 3 out of these 6 civilizations survive... sad

Mesotamian civilization:
>Middle East
>Europe
>America
>Australia

Indus Civilization:
>South Asia
>Southeast Asia

Sinic Civilization:
>East Asia
>Vietnam

Ancient Egypt:
Dead

Meso America:
Dead

Andean:
Dead

Pic related predates the Roman empire
>>
>>72184227
Incas could never write you dumbass
>>
>>72184238
There are still people who speak the languages of Ancient Egypt, many Mesoamerican cultures, and Quechua. Only the Indus civilization is truly ded
>>
>>72184293
>>

Mesoamericans did. But Incas had everything else and without any help.

I wonder where the red light district is.
>>
>>72184335
Some people think they used their crazy knots to "write" so maybe they even had that
>>
>>72184315
Wait what?

I mean dead in all practicality

The dominant culture of the entire Americas is Mesopotamian and there is not a single Meso American or Andeans civilization based state. Only irrelavent tribes and their culture is also shunned by the dominant Mesopotamian culture.

How is Indus dead?

Imperialism/Colonialism
>>

you fuckin know it bitch, kashmir belongs to pakistan.
>>

The culture of Vedic India including Hinduism and Sanskrit comes from outside the subcontinent. As far as we know no one practices the IVC's religion or speaks a related language any more

>Not cradle of civilization

Sure, senpai.

They were extremely influenced by Egypt and Mesopotamia.

Strangely enough, pic related was at its zenith during the 2nd century ad, and fell 80 years after Rome.
>>
>>72184490

This, OP is a pure amerindian and doesn't want to give credit any Europeans.
>>
>>72184490

Greece was just an extension of other Middle Eastern civilizations.

The civilization didn't really even revive until 18th century when people started getting interested in Romans and Greeks and started building LARP buildings.
>>
>>72184555
1. I didn't make the map
2. I am not really Amerindian either nor do I hate Europe
>>
>eurosavages
>>
>>72184238
SEA civilization is basically mixed civilizations between Indus and Sinic thanks to silk road.
>>
>>72184569
Nonsensical. Greek and Roman culture never died, people never stopped speaking their languages or reading their literature at any point, ever
>>
>>72184390
It was an accounting system as far as I know. Being able to symbolize concepts as numbers is a type of writing.
>>

It wasn't

>>72184555
If you want to participate in this threads at least google first.
>>
>>72184632
Even if their culture survived, and you are right because it did, they weren't cradles at all.

>>
>>72184528
>>72184569

Not true at all, you are literally making that up because is the first thing that came to your mind. Religion, language, culture, ethnic background, technology... barely anything is alike or derived from the Egyptians or Sumerians. Don't forget that those civilizations didn't invent agriculture nor cattle herding, that was way before them.

The map is a biased bullshit because in the end what is civilization? It is a developed particular culture or it is just the initial spark of something new? Does it have to spread or be influential beyond its initial borders? Does it need to last a certain amount of time? Does it need to set the foundations for something bigger? In any case Greece should be considered a craddle of civilization as it sparked basically the Greco-Roman civilization which is the foundation of today's Western Civilization. It was something like never seen before in the registers in terms of culture, science, technology and of course philosophy.

Here is the definition of "civilization":
>"an advanced state of human society, in which a high level of culture, science, industry, and government has been reached. "

Greece is the craddle of that in Europe, undeniable.

And of course, all of this is subject to new historical discoveries and historic revisionism, how is Gobekli Tepe not a craddle of civilization? It predates everything. How is the Ukrainian region around the Black Sea not a craddle of civilization, if it basically sparked the Indoeuropean spread with their cavalry and superior metal forging like nothing seen before in history? Everything is subjective if you don't establish proper parameters.
>>
>>72184621

Sinic influence is really small

other than bustling Chinatowns I cant think of much.

Maybe some stylistic influence in art and Chinese zodiac is the biggest influence.
>>
>>72183230
Geography made it easy for them to start agricultural civilisation, but not industrial civilisation
>>
>>72185162

>>
>>72185194
>cuisine

Well probably that's true only for archipelago Malay.
>Indonesian art and culture has also been influenced from the ancient trading routes between the Far East and the Middle East leading to many cultural practices being strongly influenced by a multitude of religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism and Islam.

>>
>>72185194
Vietnam is very Sinic. They even have sinified place names like in Korea
>>
>>72185347
Greece developed completely independent from any neighboring middle eastern civilizations
>>
>>72185575
nice bait
>>
>>72184632
Tribal culture is not same as civilization.

Language is on a tribal-ethnic scale

Using that logic, Mayan, Aztec, and Inca civilization still survive because those ethnicity still exist.

Utter nonsense.

If mexicans were to one day ban Spanish, kill all mestizos and whites and build aztec buildings they would just be LARPing
>>
>>72185606
Are you kidding? Do you think the ARYAN man would be influeced by stupid shitskins?

See that's bait looks like, explain how I'm wrong instead of presuming I'm shitposting. I always though Greek civilization originated with the Minoans and such.
>>
>>72185456

Vietnam IS sinosphere.

Most people dont include vietnam when talking about Southeast Asian civilization, because it is not.

Native Chams and Khmer of central and southern Vietnam were definitely southeast asian
>>
>>72185456
It's the things that shared in the Sinosphere, the Fuji mountain is called Phú Sĩ in Vietnamese for example, or Pyongyang is Bình Nhưỡng.
>>

Now with dates. Your map let think Mexico had agriculture before Europe.

>>72183158
Same with it, MesoAmerican civilization appeared in the Middle-Age.

You are a cheater.
>>
>>72190150
Without help from anyone, that is the thing that matters. The Americas were populated between 16,000 to 13,000 years ago while Europe was populated between 45,000 and 43,000 years ago and established trading routes with Egypt and Asia. That is quite the head start "cheater" (whatever that means).

And MesoAmerican civilization appeared as early as 7000 BC, but if you are going to be strict, Olmecs appeared in 1200 BC, about 1600 years before the Middle-Age.

yeah, strictly speaking only Mesopotamia, East Asia and the New World regions should be included in that sense. everything else is secondary in those terms. India and Egypt got their Neolithic start from the fertile crescent too

you're compressing many different things over a vast period of time into one.

the Myceneans obviously were deeply influenced by the Minoans but post Greek Dark Ages, the Near East had an important influence in reigniting more complex civilization. see the so-called Orientalizing period

>>72184569
