Seriously, by just generic medieval or about fighting simulation mechanisms, m&b steamrolls everything but actuall medieval battles. If you are ok with potatoe graphics and sound and with sandbox system you've got to check it

great game, I bought it on sale not expecting much other than a generic fantasy sword swinging game but it was amazing, the storyline was engaging and I actually cared about the characters (at least Triss), combat was above average, lore was great, completely engaged
I rarely finish any game or even make it past the first few hours before just fucking around but witcher I had to play through and do every side quest I could find
