Does anyone know if anyone has any plans for what we're going to do long term with the massive increase in NEETs in the future after more and more people become unemployable after more robots and computers take over tasks?

I can see why. The only cost that should reduce is wages, everything else which requires funding will still need to be funded, it won't work.
It also doesn't have any plan to deal with what all the new NEETs are going to do after they're unemployable.

Courses in robotics repairs will become common, like AC repairs in the US, arguments against automation are like ones we've had in history before
>looms will put people out of work
>sewing machines will put people out of work
>printed sheet music will put musicians out of work
Service industries will still exist, call centres, cleaning etc. There will always be enough economy to have customers
>>
>>72168382
>Courses in robotics repairs will become common
Initially yes, but overtime there will probably be developments into robots to fix other robots and maintenance robots for those fixers, in that case leaving only a job for a few specialists to check up on the robots.
In the past there were newer jobs like call centres and other low qualification jobs which were developed after the likes of sewing machines were developed, if no newer jobs are developed then we will have an increase in NEETs, maybe more jobs will come though.
>Service industries will still exist, call centres, cleaning etc.
Call centres could probably be replaced in some cases to robots, and cleaning machines might also replace cleaning jobs. Some of these service jobs might not get replaced with new jobs.

I worked in customer operations, the robotic systems will only go so far. Currently customers (according to surveys by Verint) will only trust automatic systems for what they view as simple tasks, whilst staffing in call centres will most certainly reduce there will remain a place for an actual human in the phone.
I think we will see new forms of jobs like you mentioned with call centers etc. it's just unknown at this time what that will be

I can see that, the computer can handle a list of tasks that are common or easy to implement, but it would have to forward to a person for something it doesn't know how to do or is too complex.
That reduction in staff in call centres and elsewhere will lead to an increase in NEETs if no newer jobs are formed, but that might not happen soon anyway.

How do you know? Like, unless people in /éire/ speak about their lives, it can be difficult to discern what an anon's life is like. We can make assumptions, sure - but it's not like it's any different on /pol/.

>>72171406
True. It's just that I remember on more than one occasion in the past (mainly before /éire/pol became a thing) that some of the lads from here would have to go over to /pol/ and sort out some West Brit anons who were bitching about Ireland en masse.

I think it's because most of the sadcunts in the world come to this site. On /pol/ you probably don't have as many people doing that as most people there have only arrived in the last 18 months after /pol/ got big with all the shit there in the last 18 months and it being the new /b/, and most of them would probably be considered normalfags.

Yep, all the gook does is make a post on /qa/ or a poorly thought out sticky on one of the big boards to ask how to help the site in broken english to make it look like he's not fluent, and then does nothing. Then you have the shit he pulled a few months ago saying boards might go to push passes so he could fill his wallet, as well as other shit like the new image server and the reduced functionality of the onsite archive.

I'm probably being thick as fuck here, but I'm not seeing how there is a link between shills being less employable now and the spamming of Snapchat nudes on /b/.
>>
>>72173566
Real people are needed to get by recaptchas, the former shills are likely employed at that now.
You see the postings for spamming jobs on upwork like when they were recruiting for CTR and I would suspect it's the same 'basement dwelling nerd virgins' who are doing it rather than getting work in the real world.

>every lad aged 16-25 supports the Provos
Maybe I should have just referred to older people instead of farmers. I agree that younger people don't really see the IRA connection as negative.
Nonetheless I've never heard of a farmer dislike SF because of them being a "workers party". Mostly it's hate the IRA or they just vote for FF/FG because they always have.
>>

>Farmers don't hate them because of the IRA, they hate them because SF are a ""workers party""
Wrong, that's another self-edifying Jackeen delusion. It IS because of the IRA of the troubles era, not so much the CIRA/PIRA types.

I don't entirely understand it either, it might be the communist bent a lot of them had/have (see: SF the political party), it might be dislike for violence up north, or (I have heard this) violence and disorder within the republic against the guards and rural people by typical scumbags justified by "muh republic".

They killed innocents and members of his family though, that won them no friends when they tried to act like it was heroic.

Ironically a different incident that would have painted them more favourably occured on the same day.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warrenpoint_ambush

They BTFO two dozen of the British army with clever tactics, and the Brits shot two English civilians who were on the other side of the border, not actually hurting any Irish, let alone IRA, while the IRA killed only troops.

Yeah, I experienced that too. I was a lot less focused and motivated in 5th and 6th year than I had been previously. But at the time I put it down to just being tired of the secondary education system. I assumed that once I got to college and was able to work in a field I was truly interested in that my motivation would be rekindled. Suffice to say that never happened. I got good grades college, but that was moreso out of a fear of failure than any desire to succeed.

I'd kill to have the motivation and drive I had back in the Junior Cert cycle. These days I can't even wrap my head around having that sort of mindset.

I was always lazy myself even in Junior Cert but at least I liked doing what I was doing at the time.

I think under some exceptional circumstances they will make repeat exams if you have a valid reason. I don't think anon shitposting on 4chan when he should be studying instead qualifies. They make batch exams for the first two years as they expect people to fail, I think almost nobody gets repeats in third year. Repeating costs the same for them I think, but I have to make up the extra government funding.
>>72185797
Which college here do you think wouldn't let you repeat?

One of the reasons I dropped out was that I felt guilty over making my mam spend so much money on exams I knew I was going to fail. Honestly I wish I told her how much I wanted to leave a year before, she thought I genuinely wanted to stay when I had no motivation whatsoever.

That's the only reason I would feel bad about dropping out.

And if Frogweeb is surprised at harsh policies, he shouldn't be. They're ridiculous.

Wtf, she's 22? Hahahaha.... She looks like 45.

It's ironic, she looks like those prostitues & porn performers who look ruined after just a few years of snorting cocaine & sucking dick.

But than again, that's exactly what she was doing, communist whore of the jewish masters.
The whore is spent, so she got the boot, time for a fresh whore.
>She studied political science at the University of the Fraser Valley but dropped out after two years to focus on her political activism
This is beautifull. Can't wait to see her doing fries at McDonnalds. She's too stupid to work the register.
