I'm learning German, it truly is a great experience. Or in German, Ich will sterben, ich hasse die Verb-Platzierung dieser Sprache.
>>
>>72140968
why
verb always second just like in english except after some conjunctions and relative pronouns
>>
>>72141111
When I'm listening to something spoken in German and you hear the verbs at the end and your brain isn't fast enough to work out where it should've even been in the sentence before the speaker moves on.

JUST

Italian, I'm doing pretty well but I'm having some trouble with pronouns.
I should start reading more thought because my vocabulary is pretty small.

Currently I'm learning Spanish (advanced, so I just mostly read books and expand my vocabulary rather than trying to get a hang of it), Japanese (kanji is consuming most of my time, but it's enjoyable, grammar seems pretty understandable so far) and I'm just starting out with Arabic. Any tips for that one?

>hear the verbs at the end and your brain isn't fast enough to work out where it should've even been in the sentence before the speaker moves on
This was my problem when learning Japanese. Since the verb is always at the end, by the time the sentence is finished and they have moved onto the new sentence I'm still trying to figure out what was said. It got easier with time. But not knowing what action actually took place until the very end of the sentence confused the fuck out of me.
>>
>>72143828
It basically gives you lessons in the form of written content. The text can also be read out to you. Words that you don't know are flagged as blue (new words). You can rate the words as unknown or know, or to narrow it down even more on a scale of 1-5. You can also import entire text into it too, so you're reading only what you feel like.

Basically, if you find learning a language easier by listening and reading to meaningful content (as opposed to a list of words), then it's quite good. Use it as a supplementary learning source though.

For wage reasons chinese seems great, korean for cultural and qts reasons, turkish for erdogan reasons.
Yes, they are too hard for doing it at the same time.
Korea seems also a good place to work (southern), I'd say korean.
>>
>>72141659
The secret of roman languages is verbs and tenses. Trust me. You need to learn how to use them if you really want to speak it correctly. Adjetives, adverbs and so on you can learn them in the road.
>>
Started French using Duolingo a few days ago. Although I will continue the French language and Duolingo are both shit.

I'm only up to the early nouns (like food and animals) and Duolingo already doesn't have voice audio for some of them. It also doesn't explain shit at all like conjugation, you just have to work them out yourself.

French is also retarded. Why all these conjugations that serve no function at all?
>>
>>72161956
Duo does explain conjugation tho. Are you using mobile?

Nonironically wondering this too. Is it worth it for native English speakers to learn other languages? I don't really read fiction, and film/TV is dominated by the Anglosphere. The only benefit I can think of is being able to shitpost in other generals.

Literally everyone should begin with Latin.
Then move onto Greek (ancient, of course).
Then the next steps depend on one's country.

Then, depending on your purposes, the world's your oyster.

I went down the old Sanskrit-Quranic Arabic-Hebrew-Persian route, but currently trying out Korean and Japanese.

I'm not sure I like Korean at all.

Japanese is really easy in spoken form, but kanji is what makes things difficult. The biggest problem is writing system, but it is not that hard if you will realize the main idea of iconographic characters. Japanese writing is just a hard rebus.

I'm trying to convince myself to learn Spanish.

It's going really difficult, which is ironic, considering Spanish is thought to be one of the easiest languages to learn

Originally I intended to go with French but your grammar doesn't make any sense

What I hear: Je vö
what is written: Je veux
wtf
Also I can't make the French R sound

Italian is a meme language, Portuguese is just fake Spanish so in the end I went with the original.
>>
>>72195729
Going from written to oral is usually the hardest part about French.

As for Italian, I think it's pretty good, but that might be from a French point of view.
But Portuguese I garbage, that's for sure.
