So this country is basically Brazil, right?
hell no, portugal is better than brazil in every way

>safe
>quiet
>old
>conservative
>openly melancholic
>little economic potential
>stable
>facing west
Not really. We're the opposite in a lot of ways. Food's great on both, though.

Brazil is quite conservative too for some strange reason but you're right about the rest

>15-20million
Holy fucking shit
>>71899328
>>little economic potential
and no jobs
>>71899604
We have roughly the same unemployment rate as France, mate.
You're thinking of Spain.
>>71899641
>We have roughly the same unemployment rate as France
Because half of your country is already there
How did Portugal produce Brazil?
>>71899969
By having the best sailors in the world
>>71899969
THey got drunk one day and decided to swim all the way to south america.
>>71899930
Sure, but it's better than sitting on your ass slurping welfare, wouldn't you agree?
>>71900129
>one day
>>71899969
We heard that there were pretty naked women without moustaches and who couldn't nag in our own language and we just fucking ran on top of the water.
>>71899473
Fair enough.
For what it's worth, I think most differences are either fairly superficial or just a product of the countries' ages/geopolitical situations.
The think that it took me a while to get was that Brazilians are very jolly and generally friendly, but you are about just as melancholic as us, you just have a different attitude towards it. You can really see it in your music and such.
>>71898458
Yes, they even speak Brazil's language
>>71899969
By raping everyone they met and by inviting other peoples to join the orgy
>>71898458
To say Portugal is basically Brazil is like saying eating Nutella is basically like eating a pile of freshly delivered excrement.
>>71900569
so it's true
>>71899969
>Spaniards talk about the all the indios they had to fight
>Portugal brings an army of slaves to fight, die and do slave things if they survive
>Turns out there aren't many indios in Brazil and they're all in the amazon
>Slave army grows and mixes with populace
>>71900766
We didn't bring slaves to fight, we brought them to work because we only had 1m people living in Portugal and we had to control the whole Atlantic and Indic.
That went well.
>>71900766
Negroids can barely tie their own shoes, let alone form functional armies. They brought the negroes to work because according to Portuguese accounts the natives in Brazil refused to work and were too "lazy". Also this >>71900812
And race-mixing was actually promoted by the Portuguese crown. Initially not with the negroes, but with the natives. Intermarriage between the Portuguese and the natives was essentially the norm. Later, with the abolition of slavery, this same norm was applied to negroes. Negroes represented over 80% of the Brazilian population at the time and that basically sealed the fate of destruction for the once Portuguese-or-at-least-kinda-mestizo colony.
meh no one understands i guess, probable better
>>71901166
No portuguese settled in brazil until the late 17th century,we would only go there to rape the slaves and natives and go to portugal back to their families
>shit americans say/think
how can you POSSIBLY be this fucking DUMB godDAMNIT
