Idk about that one. I used to think Irish people were celtic, but then some euros told me celtic people were actually mediterranean. I do know that the original Brittonic peoples were overtaken by the Angles and the Saxons, both mainland Germanic groups, and now we think people from britain are 'anglo-saxons'. not sure about the irish
