Why is Switzerland the only European country without draconian gun laws?
>>
>>71873085
We can have guns too and currently EU is jelly as fuck about it.
>>
>what is the czech republic?

Also because europeans in general are unironically freedom hating socialists
>>
>>71873085
Ironically enough it's one of the countries that needs them the least.
>>
>>71873085
It is actually not that hard to get a gun here.
Just near impossible to get a carry permission.
>>
>>71873085
listen to >>71874233
I own a 9mm handgun myself and I'm your everyday joe.
Just because some ex-inmate turks / russians complain about the fact that anyone with a jail record isn't allowed to get a gun doesn't mean that it's "draconic"
>>
You can get a gun here, but no one gives a shit about them. I'm not living in a shithole where i need one.
>>
>>71874230
They need them because it's one of the most fun hobbies and sport-shooting is deeply ingrained into the country. Stay upset, EUtard.

>>71874233
>need to attend a range for month and go through 21 rectal examinations
>each gun requires a seperate permit and justification
>mandatory police inspections like the fucking gestapo to check up on your storage

lmao
>>
>>71874349
multiple months*
>>
>>71874349
I'm ex-army and I like to go to the shooting range from time to time, it is fun!

But just step back for a while and look at it, do you want every ghetto nigger and spic to get a gun for free or do you want to make sure that drug addicts and other subhumans don't get a gun legaly?
Because 'storage inspections to make sure the gun is where it's supposed to be' shouldn't be moked by a country that has a higher gun violence rate then some african 3rd world shitholes
>>
This is why everyone hates American posters
>>
>>71874349
>need to attend a range for month
Probably want to do that anyways if you have a gun.
>go through 21 rectal examinations
No jail record and not retarded and some joke of a test. Wow. So draconic.

>each gun requires a seperate permit and justification
Justification literally is: you shoot. Can get 2 guns and 3 rifles with that.

>mandatory police inspections like the fucking gestapo to check up on your storage
Pretty sure they CAN come and check if you store your guns correctly. Which isn't even that bad if you see how many children shoot themself/their siblings every year in the US because guns lie around everywhere.
>>
>>71874416
Your laws are utter shit. I'm for freedom and the Swiss are freer than you in this regard and a much safer country too. I don't want the Gestapo coming to my house to check how I keep my guns. This is a violatiob of my privacy.

Can you explain why a country where I can obtain a bolt action rifle or a double barrel shotgun without a license, or semi-auto guns with a permit that takes literally two weeks to obtain has the LOWEST homicide rate on the European mainland and the second lowest in all of Europe after Iceland excluding city-states like Monaco?
>>
>>71874509
Because it has a homogenic society, a small population and is one of the most socialist countrys, even for european standards?
>>
>>71874491
>probably want to do that anyways

Not really. If it was a day course then sure. The Czechs don't need to attend a range for multiple fucking months to get their license.

>justification is

You don't even need to provide a justification to own a gun in Switzerland. I have to be a member of a gun club in Germany and expend a lot of Euros in fees. It's dumb. There's also a limit on how many guns you can get before needing to apply for more permission and justification as to why you need more than a certain number of guns.

>pretty sure the can come and check

Again, it's a violation of privacy rights. Guns rank as one of the lowest causes of accidental deaths in the US. Backyard pools kill more children accidentally in a year.

Why don't the Swiss have this retarded law?

Utter retardation. Switzerland has one of the freest economies in the world and very low taxes in Europe compared to other EU countries. 20% of Switzerland are foreigners.
>>
>>71873085
We don't have strict gun laws either, most people don't even hold permits for their weapons and nobody gives a shit because we don't have shootings.

You're making it sound like there's a giant gap or something. Europe is pretty safe in general.
>>
>>71874622
socialism is not only defied by tax rates, if you're a rich cunt like switzerland and you have a small population then you simply don't need millions extra.

>>71874623
like I said before, taxes doesn't need as high as other countrys if you have a smaller population
And homogenic population doesn't mean that they are all born there, but that they share all equal values and live by them.

You have no idea what socialism is you idiot. Socialism is defined as the public ownership of the means of the production (either workers or state).

No European country fulfills this criteria. They are all capitalists. You just think universal healthcare and subsidized education means the economy is socialist when it isn't.

Switzetland in fact ranks as having one of the most free-market economies in the world. You literally have no idea what you are talking about. Switzerland isn't socialist in any shape or form. It's very capitalist.

A population of eight million is not small, at least in an absolute sense. When comparing to Germany, sure. But it's more than most Nordic countries. It's more than Hong Kong as well.
>>
>>71874948
>United States 3.9
what are you trying to prove
>>
>>71874948
Hey, don't blame me for you militant neo-liberal fear agenda that you define socialism in another way then we europeans do.
And we don't have a 'free' market, we have a social market what is a form of capitalism but a socialist capitalism.
And with that I'm out, you live in a cunt where the police is too afraid to go into ghettos becuase the niggers are better armed then the national guard and where more people are murdered in one month then in europe for a year.
But hey, at least you're free, am I right? And now pay the $100k bill for a simple cold vaccine
>>
>>71873085
They have relaxed gun laws, but they don't have American gun culture. If you're imagining Switzerland as some kind of European Texas, don't.
>>

LMAO

They will never ever understand this. Just give it up.

>>71875041
Except I am defining socialism in the right way.

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/socialism

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism

>Socialism is a range of economic and social systems characterised by social ownership and democratic control of the means of production;[10] as well as the political ideologies, theories, and movements that aim to establish them.[11] Social ownership may refer to forms of public, collective, or cooperative ownership; to citizen ownership of equity; or to any combination of these.[12]

Are the means of production in Switzerland publicly owned by the citizens and workers?

No. They are privately owned by private countries.

>and we don't have a free market we have a social market that is socialist capitalism

"Socialist capitalism" is an oxymoron you fuckibg idiot. What you are referring to is social democracy, which is essentially capitalism with a massive welfare state.

>Social democracy is a political, social and economic ideology that supports economic and social interventions to promote social justice within the framework of a capitalist economy;

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Social_democracy&mobileaction=toggle_view_desktop

Social democracy isn't the same as socialism you idiot. In socdem economies, the economy remains capitalist with the means of production being privately owned, but there are very high tax rates to ensure that a massive welfare state exists. If I was a militant neo-liberal, I'd be calling all of Europe as having a socialist economy when they don't. All Nordic countries are capitalist.
>>
>>71875104
I don't. I never even said Swiss gun culture is the same as American ones. I'm asking why Switzerland maintains very liberal gun laws in a continent of countries with extremely draconian ones. You have to shift the goalposts over to the US and put words in people's mouths, or imply something that is not being implied.

It must truly make your shitty union seething mad that a country with laxer gun laws than California, New York, DC, Massachusetts, Maryland and Hawaii is safer than all of your countries except Iceland. Perhaps this is why the EU is trying to push their gun grabbing proposal for schengen countries?

https://www.theparliamentmagazine.eu/articles/news/swiss-campaigners-slam-eu-gun-proposals

http://www.reuters.com/article/us-swiss-eu-guns-idUSKCN1161KT

Seems like the Swiss want to keep their liberal laws.

>>
>>71875296
My point was that a difference of 0,4 doesn't mean jackshit and therefore gun laws are irrelevant to this whole homicide rates thing. Firearms aren't the problem, retarded gunnuts are.
>>
>>71875296
http://www.heritage.org/index/ranking In fact the Swiss have a more free-market economy than us.

>>
>>71875417
>It must truly make your shitty union seething mad that a country with laxer gun laws than California, New York, DC, Massachusetts, Maryland and Hawaii is safer than all of your countries except Iceland.

Swiss murder rate is low primarily because their population isn't full of violent maniacs. Guns have very little to do with it. Swiss keep guns because of their military doctrine and for hunting, not for keeping violent niggers out of their house like in America.

>Perhaps this is why the EU is trying to push their gun grabbing proposal for schengen countries?

To be fair, I disagree with EU on this. Legal gun ownership nothing to do with the recent terrorist attacks. Hopefully it doesn't pass, but if it does, you can be sure that Switzerland will obey, because they're basically EU's little dependency.
