While it is true that America has done a lot of shady stuff, there is no denial that Europe wouldn't be what it is now without USA.

After WW2, it would have been very easy for America to turn Western Europe into a bunch of puppet state, like Stalin did. Yet they left us the freedom to choose our own governments. Even after France kicked out Americans, they didn't retaliate, but allowed French to cooperate outside Nato.

And during last decades, when EU became more and more powerful, Americans could have easily used their secret service to plant distrust between us, to keep us weak and divided. Yet they did no such thing, risking that one day, a strong united EU might not need them.

For that, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart, America. We might not always agree with each other, but we own you our eternal gratitude and friendship.
