Most people just downloaded summaries from the internet, and thanks to incompetent teachers, the analysis of most of these books was never sufficient for most of the students to develop a sense of critical thinking. That's why we're such a retarded country.

They had a programme to try to encourage more reading in school but it didn't work out that well, read some teen books that I don't remember the names of except for an Alpha Force book and some Horrible Histories
