If youve seen on youtube of europeans visiting america and saying the portion sizes are massive. Think about people eating like that a lot more and sitting and watching tv afterwards.

Plus its mostly white and black people who are really obese. South american somewhat but overally its just blacks and whites who are fatties.

too many people live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by only terribly unhealthy fast-food restaurants, they give in to the temptation. these places are literally everywhere

plus people like the idea of not having to cook themselves either because they're lazy or they just don't realize that they could cook at home cheaper

this is probably one of the bigger factors of why everyone gets fat so easily here, portions here basically make you enter a food coma and not want to do anything for the rest of the day.

and it doesn't help that the culture surrounding our food is unhealthy by nature. look at many east asian countries, hard to get fat when your food culture is mainly rice, seafood, and noodles
