>meme civilisations in west africa
Nah man the ivorycoast was pretty cool and the most cultivated distinctly subsaharan place in africa as it developed mostly itself.
Not a great civilisation but notable regional powers with a fair share of interesting history.Benin had a time were it was praised by european visitors for being exceptionally well ordered and crimefree-thats something. Also what is often ignored because KANGdom is so much more cooler for the afroamerican is that the prime achievment of westafrican subsaharans was the sucessful cultivation of various local crops we can now enjoy.
When it comes to arabised africans the songhais were notable for their african version of the bill of rights.
If they would tone the GREATCIVILISATIONS thing a bit down as the place cant really compete with eurasia in that regard but concentrate on the kingdoms, their intricate and alien social systems and cults while highlighting difficulties of making cities sustainable there besides infos on crop developement they would present a noteworthy documentation.
