Dear Australians and Canadians,
which country of you two does fit better for mechanical engineer? Judging by job search websites I consider Canada to be a better choice (more jobs, developed industry) than Australia, but I fucking hate winter.
Sincerely yours,
One day I gonna get EE/189 visa.

They are full, stay here m8, 300$ is a good salary.

we're a sinking ship, you dont want to come here
We are full, go home.
Also, another question about engineering in Australia - I would say a very big part, if not a majority, of Australian mechanical engineering occupations are fucking HVAC. In Russia, HVAC systems are a part of civil engineering. Or don't I understand some specific nuances of HVAC industry and mechanical engineers design something for them?
I've been working in aerospace industry for all my life 2bh.

Nope.
Also if you want to know what is really a sinking ship, visit Russia please.

>300$
500$ 2bh.
[spoiler]Canada has a great job market for engineers, I'm pulling your leg to reduce competition. My entire class and I got well paid jobs straight out of school.

I know, but I still hope there are some good sides in Australian engineering too because I don't want to live in a winter anymore. Well, maybe winters in Canada are not that long, but they are still winters.

I mean I would never work anywhere in Canada except for Vancouver/Vancouver Island, I can't take cold.
I will most likely move to America one day (probably in a few years when I can get a much better salary in a big city), but until then Canada is fine.
I would rather be a homeless bum in Vancouver than a rich person anywhere else in this country, I can't take cold.
The only stable job you'll get here is in HVAC design. Canada has Bombardier, etc.

But why do Australians require mechanical engineers for designing HVAC systems? In Russia it's done by civil engineers.

If you hate winter I suppose you could move somewhere in southern Ontario that isn't too close to the great lakes
