Here in the Netherlands it's allowed to make a Coat of Arms, but it's forbidden to mix that one with another one. You may not use the Coat of Arms from an other family (with the same name) either. (I just picked the Coat of Arms of my grandpa, because it looks nice, but of course I'm not allowed to use it.) Perhaps you can search for the Norman Coat of Arms of your family and introduce it in Australia with some evidence.
