What does /int/ know about the Mexican War?
>>
Nothing. We were more preoccupied with revolutions in 1848.

>Mexican war

which one?

They deserve a second beating. It is destiny.

I read the the US told the Apache or some other tribe of psycho natives that they had to stop massacring farms and spreading women and children's insides all over the place, and the natives said raiding was the only way they knew how to live or something. So to avoid a literal genocide of the tribe, they made a deal where the Apache (or whoever - maybe Commanche) would do all their raiding across the border in Mexico. So Mexico basically got fucked over by savage raiding parties and couldn't chase them or arrest them because they were across the border. This unacceptable situation contributed to the declaration of war.

Did I read a load of shit or can Mexicans/Yanks confirm?

This guy.
>>
basically Mexico got destroyed but were merciful enough to let them live
>>
We wanted California because Britain had their eyes set on it.
>>
It was fought partially to fortify slaveholding interests in Texas
>>
>>71617817
Like every war in American history, it was fought to ensure the freedom of a god-fearing, whisky-distilling, tobacco-curing, slave-owning Whiteman.
>>
>>71615498
Basically we got destroyed in a dispute about how big is Texas, in the aftermath we agree that Texas is very big
>>
>>71618607
Lmao
>>
>>71617738
>but were merciful enough to let them live
funny how people say this but then give meme answers when confronted with the fact the "all of mexico" movement failed
>>
>>71615498
Americans like to blame mexico for the war but deny the FACT that polk sent U.S. troops into mexican territory
>>
>>71621584
Are you a CHI?
Most americans would deny the facts
>>
>>71621858
>Are you a CHI?
