here it's much easier because even though we're a Christian nation since the coronation of our first Christian king in 1000 AD we've never really let go of our Uralic shamanistic pagan roots, they're still an essential part of our national fabric, from horseback archery to our fairy tales and myths

It's funny because they remember and are proud of many pre-Christianity things, but when it comes to religion they are autistic as fuck. People here are very superstitious. That's why I'll never feel like home here. I don't understand how their brains work.

I see, thanks for the info.
I've always been curious about the rebuilding operations after WWII, specially those examples where a building is rebuilt "where it was and like it was". My favourite example is the Church of our Lady in Dresden. I like how they made it possible to see the difference between the original and the new stone blocks.
Is there modern gothic architecture? I really like the style, but I haven't seen new buildings being built in it.

>>71508585
yeah, that's pretty cool, the old town centre of Warsaw is another great example
we're a bit late to the game but slowly all of our pre-WWII architecture will shine in its former glory, the torn-down buildings of the historic Buda Castle district are going to be rebuilt in the coming 5-10 years as well
>>71507950>>71508008
this is just awesome
a nice modern insert
>>71508801
what do you mean "modern gothic architecture"?
neo-gothic revival? pic related was built in 1905
>>71509082
Anything that is similar to gothic, but was built, let's say, in 2000 or later.
>>71509412
That looks pretty soviet.
>>71509206
There are tons of examples of "neo neo renaissance" but I haven't seen any "neo neo gothic" 2bh.
>>71509618
That's sad. I wish someone built something colossal in gothic style.
>>71509544in what way? it just looks art deco to me.
btw this is what it used to look like before they restored it a few years ago
>>71509976
Shapes, colors, carvings. I've seen many things like that here in Moscow.
>>71509699
what about this one
>>71510533
That looks really good, how old is it? Also, it's just one building. Will be interesting to see a whole city or at least a district in this style.
>>71510631
I doubt it will happen. There is a lot of people (architects mainly) who are a bit against building modern buildings in old styles because it will look fake and tacky. Just like those chinese cities which copy european capitals (pic related).
A single building? Maybe, even likely, but not a whole district.
>>71510976
But the Dutch are building houses in a style that is similar to their old buildings and it looks ok I think. But maybe you're right, it's not really good to just copy old stuff.
Here they build this entire part of the city in this post-modern architectural style
>>71511153
>>71511153
Is it real for some ordinal men to buy a property there? Or it's only for richfags?
>>71511214
it's for mid to high middle class I would say, but not the cheapest
>>71511214
I bet it's for richfags, it looks like an elite neighbourhood also it's in proximity of the city centre
>>71511325
So middle-class men can buy something here, that's good. Here, so-called middle-class only can buy old garbage or new shit that was built by old blueprints.
>>71511381
It's ranging from 1000-5000€/month. It highly depends. Like if you are at the upper story, penthouse style, it's more expensive or if you have a boat parking lot. A normal apartment there is maybe 200-300€ more expensive than in an ordinary house.
>>71509006
I like this. I have seen very similar in Luxemburg.

shame that there is such big inequality in Russia
here is a middle class development in Warsaw, it's pretty affordable
>>71513237
Looks amazing if it is affordable for an average man. I've noticed that you have also got a good infrastructure in almost any neighborhood, unlike Russia, where you can find a relatively ok infrastructure only in good neighborhoods and city centers.
>>71513362
>I've noticed that you have also got a good infrastructure in almost any neighborhood
well new neighbourhoods of course are getting good infrastructure, as it's new, it's not always so good, here in Warsaw though I'd say infrastructure is really good and I don't even live in the centre, I live in a border district
generally in recent years in Poland infrastructure was substantially improved, in pic related you can see highways in Poland over years, EU of course contributed a lot with its structural funds but I think some people overstate it, to be fair the government itself paid a lot of intention to improving our infrastructure and EU funds simply helped to realize that goal
what theme for a new thread?
