As for the question. Because its people have a sense of community due to actually being the same ethnic group. 1 God, 1 blood, 1 culture etc. I have a lot of respect for Poland. Far more than the U.K, France or Germany.

Having been there several times in the past few years for work-related reasons, I have to disagree. Obviously it still has a long way to go before being Norway-tier, but life there overall is very comfy. The biggest issue right now is relatively low purchasing power, but as far as infrastructure, security, services, education, etc. go it's doing pretty well. And culturally speaking Poland is a great country.

I really love Poland. It's a great country. I am reading Gombrowicz and Schulz right now.
