Since my father's times (maybe before), argentinean education is in decadency.. Some people atribute thiis to a gorverment conspiracy to make people more stupid and therefore more docile, whenn actually it's due to incompetence and a tendence to givemore value to have more graduations instead of more worthy graduated people.

The more prestige and worthy unis could be much better if they stopped focussing on "muh prestige" and modernize themselves. They feel proud when some of our unis is considered in an high possition at LatAm unis ranking, or even if they are considered 200th at a world ranking, when it's obviously a really low place.

From what I've read Russia had a very good and prestigious education system but with the fall of the Soviet Union all the talented people and professors fled to the west for better pay and so now it's shambles.
