Fahrenheit is objectively better. You have a higher range of numbers so you can more accuratley describe the tempurature.

For example both 50 and 51 fahrenheit translate to 10 celcius

I set my weather app to use all SI measurements, actually, and I usually write dates as (e.g.) 20 February 2017.

I don't every write a purely numeric date like 20/02/2017, because for days from 1 to 12, people will assume I've written the month first and read it incorrectly. "20 Feb. 2017" is a viable alternative for forms that don't provide enough space for the full month name.
