>country has both a president and a prime minister
Why?
>>71387229
president is mainly representative, prime minister is a chief of goverment
I think our president has the power to straight up kick out everyone in the government and appoint new people.

Minister: c. 1300, "one who acts upon the authority of another. From Latin minister (genitive ministri) "inferior, servant, priest's assistant"
It's the President's assistant. In France, the President decides and orders, the prime minister carry out the orders, the other ministers assist him. It depends on the country.

Idk
It's just same as vice president, but not elected.

But why

Same here.
>>71387776
prime minister is running actual goverment, president is doing bullshit like visiting orphans, opening museums, visiting allies and giving speeches about how we're bros, swearing in judges and shit like that that could be done by monkey in a suit and would only waste prime ministers time.
>>71387229
president is head of state, prime minister is head of government.
you should know these things before posting here.

We don't have a vice President. We have a President of the Senate instead.
He's the one who becomes President by interim if there's a problem. He's not directly elected.
