Pic related, what I used to work with during draft, it's a bit outdated being over 40 years old and it's biggest weakness are the sights, which are useless at night, still very reliable and VERY easy to repair as it can be disassembled very fast and easily, potentially even during combat. You push the arm-rest sideways and forward and then the whole barrel+spring comes out it blows your mind the first time you do it if you're used to bolt-action from hunting.

Well it's AK-based, but not an AK. Yes it's semi-auto because getting full auto is impossible if you aren't a collector, and even then it's not easy.

I've shot an AUG, you don't have to explain the rifle to me.

I didn't like the way you have to push up with your thumb while pulling down to get the magazine out, feels really counterintuitive and slow.

Your dominant hand stays on the pistol grip while your other hand reaches towards the magazine, when you do that you already position your thumb in a way that it hits the trigger first and then in the same motion your grab and pull the magazine, easy, right?

It's because of the simultaneous movement of up with your thumb and yanking down with the hand. It's counterintuitive as fuck, and the AUG is the only bullpup which has a setup like that.

Maybe your release was stiff, and you had to push a little inwards, because i really cannot see how this is an issue you already have to reach behind the gun to grab the mag it's not rocket science to position your thumb in a way that it's the first thing that touches the gun when you go to grab the magazine.

Well yes you can't take out the mag in one motion from up to down but I don't believe it takes much longer to reload because of that.

You can get the mag out in around a second if you really want to, don't think it's much diffrent to other guns.
