I've studied in a pretty good university in Tokyo for a year. I've always been kind of a weeb, so it was great. Though I don't think I could live for long in Tokyo. It's too big, too crowded. Whenever I had the time, I would go to visit another city, or go hiking.

Kyoto and Nara are wonderful. Hokkaido is really comfy, Hakodate in particular. Did a tiny bit of the Shikoku pilgrimage, I've been dreaming of doing the entire thing. The smaller islands in the south, like the Goto islands are also very comfy.

Overall I really loved my time there, and I'd love to come back. Of course it's not perfect, and there are some aspects of Japanese culture I don't understand or just think are plain retarded, but still. Also your bread is really too sweet. But it's fine, I had found a store that sold French products, helped a lot when I felt homesick.
