Which languages can people from your country understand without learning them?
And also, how well can you understand them written/spoken?
We can't understand Chinese when spoken, but we can vaguely pick up what they're trying to say when written
We have no idea what Koreans are trying to say written or spoken as it's a totally different language

We can understand barely what Québecois say but they could survive.
Otherwise we can pick up here and there from spanish and italian but not a lot.

Can understand them mostly through speach, written is a bit slower due to them using other letters for the same sound. This is works the same vice versa.
