UNIRONICALLY FUNNY

Frasier
The Simpsons (seasons 1-9)
South Park (seasons 1-9)
Seinfeld
King of the Hill
Silicon Valley

So, I'm watching Frasier, and I can't help but thinking how robust his body looks. Has anyone else noticed the robustness of Frasier's body? Obviously, his mind is robust -- he is Seattle's number 1 psychologist and has a palpable taste for red wines. His soothing baritone vocals add to his robust appearance. His hairiness adds to the robust appeal. Hairs are everywhere, arms and chests. I have only seen a hairy, robust body like that on a few professional wrestlers.

Anyone else notice this?

capitalism crushes everything in its path that's why all ideologies that tried to stand against it have been destroyed (fascism, naziism, communism, etc)
and why those that are currently trying to stand against it (nationalism, islamism, etc) are being consumed by it
those ideologies that have tried to coexist with capitalism (i.e. christianity) get assimilated into it

capitalism is truly unstoppable

i'm talking about how in books you have to visualize the characters and settings for yourself and that's just with pulp shite

if you get into real literature let's take 'the brothers karamozov' for example then it's a real intellectual endeavor just to make it through each page but most people don't read such heady literature so let's go middle of the road and take 'the 120 days of sodom' which is easy to read yet still presents very challenging ideas and is written to create a visceral reaction

vast vast majority of tv doesnt do that and certainly not sitcoms

I think it's because australian state governments formed and federation occured around the modern era, and the political thought was dominated by muh utopia. It's why some of our political institutions and election systems are so progressive compared to the rest of the world, for example compulsory voting, preferential voting and an upper house elected proportional to the overall voted (adjusted for each state though).
political thought it still dominated by "what can we do to make things better", the only reason the UK didn't think like this around the same time was because everything government-related was so large and conflated, took too much effort and money to change
