then you have the elections, first round you have everyone (conservative, liberal, communist, socialist, nationalist, etc etc) pitted against each other in free for all

then the best 2 candidates go to the second round where the one who gets majority becomes president

usually it ends up 49%vs51% but sometimes parties ally against the FN like in 2002 where it went 80%conservative vs 20% nationalist, it won't be as bad this time maybe 60/40 but they'll still ally
