top 3 cities:
1. San Diego

3. Chicago
i may be somewhat biased

I don't get this map on a number of levels, but primarily because I am wondering.
Shouldn't the Rockies completely bisect "The Southwest" in the middle of New Mexico.
Why does Rocky Mountains Take up a fuckton of coastal Washington?
Why does the southwest continue into the southern central valley, hopping over hills and mountains in the process?
Furthermore why are the western faces of the sierra Nevadas part of the great basin?
Why are parts of northern California designated as great basin when they drain directly into the central valley?
I have more issues but those are the most glaring.

It's the most "cosmopolitan" big city in North Texas...meaning it's full of idiotic Californians who are ruining our state, all hat no cattle types with way too much fucking money from (usually oil), and just generally not nice (by Texas standards) folk.
It's a pain to get to, it's a pain to deal with, and the people are shitty. Plus everything you "need to go to Dallas for" you don't. (Outside of Basketball/Hockey)

Who the hell made this map? There is so much wrong.
I grew up in New England so I'm partial to it, but only Northern New England (Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine) have the True New England Flavor. Mass, Ct, and RI have their own pseudo-NY thing going on that is terrible.
I went on a roadtrip from NY->Minneapolis->Seattle->down the coast to LA->AZ,NM,TX, and back home. Lived in VA and driven through most of the rest of the country.
PNW is gorgeous and I may live there in the future. States don't seem too retarded outside of seattle (which reminds me of California Uber Alles by the dead kennedys). California is beautiful but its full of californians. Most of the rural midwest is horrendously boring, as is much of Appalachia and the southwest. Great basin probably falls into that as well.
I guess what I'm saying is that the US has amazing natural beauty, and you can find somewhere tolerable to live in just about any state.

My GF is from Connecticut. If you are an individualist come north to NH-VT-ME trinity or go west to the unpopulated autist-barrens. Otherwise stay where you are and deal with the follies of collectivism.

>>71173941
ha, I didn't even notice that the first time
Fuck the Twin Cities. rural/suburban MN is ultra /comfy/ and racially pure
>>71176097
NH-VT-ME are more rural and traditionally more individualist states than the collectivist southern New England. It's why the autists from the free state project chose New Hampshire as their destination. They believed that the culture of self-sufficiency as opposed to reliance on the state or foreign entities was appropriate for their political movement.
If you need additional information about individualism I'd suggest wikipedia or something. Basically, the individualist believes that the individual is the basic unit of society where collectivists believe that social groups (racial, ideological, religious, class-based, etc) are the basic unit. The individualist believes that the rights of the individual are more important than the group, but the collectivist believes that the rights of the group are more important than the individual. Classical liberalism is based upon individualism and individual rights. Collectivism subverts individual rights to achieve the goals of the group and is expressed throughout the ideological spectrum.

Because they don't? Only autists from /pol/ think like that.
Central Valley needs to be its own state to be honest
>>71176771
You're wrong, there's a massive cultural divide between rural/city people in the United States. It doesn't particularly matter the state if they're consistently blue. In NH, people are always complaining about massholes. Rural people from Illinois complain about cook county in particular. People from upstate NY complain about NYC. It's the way of things in the united states and it correlates largely with different attitudes about the role of the government and social behavior.
Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I'm from downstate (my regional flags are purposely set to elsewhere for an unrelated reason) but I know a lot about Houghton and Keweenaw region in general. I was up there for all of last week during the winter carnival & have family in Calumet.
I absolutely love it up there, but the distance (8 hour drive one way) for me makes it so prohibitive to get up there often. The Keweenaw has the near perfect season: A real brutal and snow filled winter (which I adore), a colorful fall, a brief but awakening spring... my only gripes with the region up there is summers aren't warm enough and the bugs.

KBC beer is great, had more than my fair share of their widowmaker this past week. I'd love to live in the Keweenaw... if only there was a liiiitle bit more people and if the economy wasn't so shit up there. Without MTU, that place would be in an incredibly much worse off situation than it already is. What a shame.
Here's to hoping for a miracle that the mines reopen somehow.
Here's tips on your map on my regions that I live(d) in:
1)All of Washington and Oregon, besides southeast Oregon, are PNW
2) The Tidewater region isn't in NC
3) Tennessee isn't midwestern
