The thing that bothers me is spite. It feels like so many people now are just saying or believing things just because the other side upset them, and they just completely ditched reality to believe shit to feel better about themselves. Both sides do this, although with Trump's admin, it looks like his side is doing the worst of it (eg Bowling Green)

Politicians seem extremely scared to vote outside of party lines. Look at McCain. He bitches left and right about Trump, but he still votes for everything Trump wants because McCain doesn't want to draw the ire of his party.
The DeVos vote has been really shaking people up lately in particular because it would have just taken 1 person like McCain to change the vote from 51-50 for to against. To be honest I haven't read up about DeVos, but I'm hearing shit like she just got in because she forked over assloads of cash to the republicans. Plus, it's a little unsettling when the secretary of education nominee needs the Vice President to break the vote and get her elected. I really hope she is not as bad as people say.

Idk, but by and large a lot of those companies probably won't be hurt by those consumers leaving. If NASCAR or Remington Firearms got boycotted by them, those companies would definitely have to worry.

Did he actually say that? That is an absolutely nightmarish technological feat to build across the Bering Strait. The cost not only to build, but constantly maintain that thing from being destroyed by the elements will likely outweigh the costs of just shipping things between Vladivostock and Alaska.
Also, I mean no offense, but Russia is having trouble keeping up with infrastructure projects they sign-on with the Chinese. Something tells me if we build a Bering bridge, America will foot 100% of that ginormous bill
