People in the orange areas (Recovered Lands) were resettled by the polish and soviet occupational governments there at the end of WW2.

There was no emotional and traditional connection to their new "habitat" unlike the people in the Blue areas.
So since the war we had generations of people born less attached to tradition than the people who live in literally "their ancestral lands"
