A racing game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Honestly the races themselves get a bit stereotypical and boring after some time. What got me with this game was its map. Since it is fully open from start and it is literally the largest map in the whole gaming world so far. It also has a lot of diverse locations, and i have spend hours upon hours just riding around deserts, burned down forests or highways on my bike and just enjoying the amazing view and soundtrack.

Another one of those craft and explore games. What is interesting about this one though is that it is fully happening underwater. And it is perfectly done. The graphics, the UI, the gameplay, it all just looks so natural and feels good. And there is so much to explore in this game, about a dozen of different biomes with different colours, plants and animals, and it all looks damn gorgeous. The first moment when you sink into the water and start exploring the reefs around you is just amazing. And the story itself is also apparently very interesting once you get into it. The only issue is that if you don't want to spend hours just randomly exploring with no possible positive outcome, you gotta watch some youtube lets plays or read some guides about where some specific things are.

Arguably not so comfy game, since it actually is a horror game. But i myself love winter and this game gave a really amazing impression of it, with amazing scenery and atmosphere. There are about 8 spots you need to discover to finish this game and each one is genuinely interesting and gorgeous (from what i remember, one was for example a mountain where ancient tribes held rituals, other one was cottage high up on wooden sticks hidden in dark forest, third one was twisted smoking tree etc.). But of course its a horror game so each of those places is riddled with demons.

Spatials

Another game where you build a base in space, but this time it is more of a shopping center for other ships. The basic goal is simple, keep your workers happy and keep customers happy. In order to do that you keep building new and new machines to build new and new products for new and new shops. You unlock all that as you complete different missions on other planets. Lot more lightweight that other mentioned games and great for relaxation and just autistic base building, but the missions get boring in time.

Mount and Blade

In this game you play as a person in fantasy middle-ages world, and you can do basically anything. The basis is recruiting your own warriors and as a party you can then go fight bandits and steal their loot, you can do missions for towns or lords, you can promise aliegance to one of the kings and get your first village to rule, or you can be independent bandit, raid caravans and build factories in cities. The world is your oyster in this game. Definitely must-play for anyone who likes medieval.

SPORE

This game is what it claims to be: You play as evolution. You control a creature from its cellular phase up to the space exploration phase. But for me, the game is only about its two first stages, which is cell stage and animal stage. Because in those you are actually playing as an animal, getting different legs, spikes on heads, different mouths or eyes. So you are basically playing as an animal on different planet and you can change yourself however you want, either be a flying herbivore or a deadly worm with spikes and shit. If you smoke weed, then download this game right now, get high as fuck, lock your room and start from a single cell.

Very nice reviews, I enjoy reading them and seeing what games you have played. I remember when I had no internet, it was maybe 5-6 years ago, I was at shop with parents and saw what looked like a really great discount/price. It was a bundle of GRID, FUEL and DIRT, not bootleg or anything, all official. They bought it to me and after playing GRID for a while I installed FUEL. I loved the shit so much, but the fact that the whole world is empty with just random trucks passing by was kind of frustrating. And the controls/handling were absolutely horrible. I still enjoyed exploring the world very much.

SPORE was one of my first ever games when I first got computer. It was around the same time, when I was 12-13 years old. I cannot describe how much I enjoyed it, each time I advanced to another evolutionary stage it was like child orgasm for me if that makes sense. I would be so excited I would call my dad to look what I just accomplished. "Wow, they learned how to make fire! I wonder what's next..." When I reached galactic level it was super exciting and I played that thing for hours every day for few weeks straight. But then it got kind of boring messing with Grox and I left it alone. After some years when I discovered 4chan I saw that people really hate the game because it's didn't become what it was advertised as, which I never even knew about. I loved it for what it was.

I loved The Sims 2, I played it when I had no internet. Not that I *played* it, was more like for building homes. But I didn't have any addons/expansions and was very limited with what I could do. I remember when I asked my mom if she can ask her coworker if he could download me full game with all addons (it was 12 CDs or DVDs back then, I don't remember). I was so happy when she brought them to me only to find that one or two are broken, he forgot some parts of RAR files or it got corrupted or something. But eventually I somehow got it and played the shit out of it. I still was able to download few mods/pre-made houses with my dial-up connection which I set up by myself (expensive as fuck). It was one of the comfiest times in my computer life. The Sims 3 was just about to be released, I couldn't get it and my computer couldn't even run it, so that was quite sad. I built so many homes.

Stuff like SPORE and FUEL have lots of fuck ups and some good parts. I can ignore the fuck ups and just from time to time go have a few races and a ride across the plains in FUEL, or just play the first two stages in SPORE, and that is enough to make me enjoy those games instead of going nuts over how it is not as perfect as my physically ill mind would like it to me.

Yeah exactly. FUEL had some kind of dark atmosphere to it and I loved it. When my mind was still more childish and had quite big imagination, I always wondered through the zones looking for some kind of "special" things, maybe easter eggs or something hidden. At that point I didn't know how games are made, how they work or that those worlds are mostly empty. Best thing was that my imagination made it up, but that world was whole framework for it, empty canvas which I could paint on. And when games has such canvas, I love it every time.

SPORE was such a charming thing, I am pretty sure it could still stand its ground today for what it is. I don't think there exists a game which you could describe as "wow that's exactly like SPORE" or "that's like SPORE, but better". It will always be THAT game.

Nothing wrong with playing Sims at all. I guess it's somewhat ironic, I enjoyed computer games way way more when I lost my internet connection for few years. When it was just that - me and my game. It was so comfy and so peaceful. I remember when I was in middle school and we still asked each other to download and burn some games for each other, Heroes of Might and Magic 3, Counter Strike 1.6 etc... great times. I remember once when I was in supermarket with dad I saw a Heroes IV disc and I asked him to buy it for me. He was a cool dad and said okay, just don't tell mom. When I installed it, it turned out to be in Russian language (lots of games here are sold via Russian publishers because Baltics are in Russian publisher influence/zone and not considered EU). So I had my dad sit next to me often and translate what it says or what is happening. Such happy memories.

well there will be assholes in such working area. I almost went to work for one of our main phone companies as some kind of phone consultant/support. answering the phone, helping people with their questions, trying to sell them plans or additional stuff. but I chose to stay here designing the newspaper layout routinely. as far as I know people yell at you through the phone there, call you really bad swear words and so on. so it would happen to anyone eventually.

I guess it's quite a big blow but nothing that would bury us. I suppose I will try to help somehow, maybe in the end I will just have less money than I wanted for my next Czech trip. I have a loan for electricity bill now, it's around 1000 € atm and I am supposed to be paying 30 € every month. so far my dad paid all of the months, I just took the loan in my name. but with this new thing I think I could help out a bit and pay it by myself, maybe even take some of that monthly 100 € load, it's just 5 months after all.

two way travel in summer will cost me ~70 €, staying in penzion for 3 weeks about 600 € more and I prefer to have something above 100 € for spoiling us with food, pizzas etc. I will go to some places too and will probably get some souvenirs so I prefer to have something around 1000 € in June. ideally I should have 1000-1200 €, so thats about exactly what I want. if I will have any month's salary taken from me due to those circumstances, my vacation quality will probably suffer but oh well.
