Thats not only the basque country. Thats Galicia, Asturias, Cantabria, Basque Country and La Rioja.

I live in Cantabria. The north of Spain is a very good place to live. I know very well Asturias and The Basque country because of my job, but I guess Galicia is the same.

Good quality of live, services and infraestructure. Better than many European cities I've been. Good people. In summer is hot but not too much, however is very rainy the rest of the year.

North of Spain is famous for being really hard to pick up girls in it. Basque Country has a reputation of having the ugliest girls in Spain. IMO they are not ugly, it's just that they don't care about they appearance.

In Santander and Oviedo there are many qts and I haven't noticed any extraordinary problems in picking them up but southern girls may be easiest and maybe prettier on average.

What the rest of Spain think about us? I would say that they have a bit of envy because we are more succesful and we use to blame the south for many things like unemployment, giving away too much subsidies, poor education system...

Also keep in mind that all nationalistic movements are in the north: Catalonia, Basque Country, Galicia in lesser extent.. While most of the central and southen spain are more unionists.

The real ancient europeans. Needs to be seperated imo
