All we get taught is that Finland is due east, its capital is Helsingfors, they have 5 million alcoholic inhabitants and that they were part of us until evul russia took them.

I had the privilege to have a teacher who actually included the Winter War in to our WW2 studies. But I didn't learn of the civil war and the rest of the history in the country until I personally looked it up.

But having to learn Swedish is a waste of time though to be honest. There is no longer any need to move over here for work and fenno swedes mostly just exist in certain parts of the country. Kinda dumb that its still here.
