/pol/ didn't determine the outcome of the election. The socioeconomical reality did.
The democrats COULD have spent their eight years with a focus on ending rural poverty, but instead they focused on transgender restrooms for the upper middle class. Any poor person who objected got labeled "racist white trash".
Regardless of what one thinks about Trump, I think we can all agree that the outcome is a victory for the working class, which has now proven itself as an important factor in the elections. The democrats will have to actually consider them in the future, instead of simply dismissing them as "stupid, uneducated white trash".

Obama did put forward jobs bills to help the rural poor, Congress didn't pass them because muh budget.
Why do transgender bathrooms make rural people so upset?

>this chicongo nigger again

Republicans blocked almost everything after they took control of the House in 2010.
